The Catching Up quilt pattern is by local designer Kathryn Simel of Midcoast Cottage Designs. This fun, scrappy quilt features 12 different arrow blocks racing diagonally across the quilt top trying to “catch up” to one another. Highlight up to 40 of your favorite scrappy bits to create this modern, happy, asymmetrical quilt. Pattern features two size options: 70"x 88" twin size (easily made bigger by adding borders) and a 42" x 42" baby/wallhanging size. Materials needed to make the 70" x 88" quilt: 6.5 yards background fabric, plus 40 scraps for arrows. For 42" x 42" size: 1.75 yards background fabric, plus 17 scraps for arrows.
