***INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY***
If you look out your window and the weather is bad and the roads look icy you should probably stay home, but if you brave the elements just to make it to our shop, it is a very good idea to call ahead of time (207 563 5002) and make sure that we are open. Even though some of us live very close to the shop it may be our day off or the power may be out or we may just want to "hunker" down... you never know!!! Thanks for planning ahead!!!
•Mid-Winter's Craft Swap
Friday, February 26th at 6:00pm
The Mid-Winter's Craft Swap is just what the doctor ordered as a cure for Cabin Fever! The Craft Swap works just like a Yankee Swap, but instead of exchanging silly gifts we will be exchanging our MOST FABULOUS handmade goodness that we can muster. The idea here is to really out-do yourself and try to make something wonderful. That way, no matter what happens, you go home with something handmade and amazing and hopefully you will have a little (okay, a lot) of fun and laughter along the way. Your craft for the Craft Swap DOES NOT NEED TO BE FABRIC/SEWING RELATED. Last time we had over thirty ladies participating and for our Mid-Winter's Craft Swap we are expecting even more! Please keep in mind that everyone who participates in the Craft Swap MUST MUST MUST sign their own name on our sign up sheet ahead of time, we must have your contact info in case of inclement weather and everyone needs to have a copy of the Craft Swap guidelines... NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
• Sushi and Sewing Lounge: Friday nights from 4-8:30
Sewing Lounge is free and open to everyone! It's a time when we all hang out and sew/knit/crochet/talk/shop/eat... A great way to make some new friends and get some crafting done. During this time our classroom space, irons, design walls, etc. are available to use free of charge and an instructor is always here to give advice if problems pop up. Sewing Lounge can get very crowded, and may not be the ideal time to work on a complicated or large project, and Sewing Lounge is NOT a free class or an opportunity for one on one instruction (for that we suggest setting up a private lesson), but Sewing Lounge is meant to be a time for low key sewing and fun. We would love to see you there: especially if you bring us some cupcakes!!!
